Vallarta

Well it has been a great week!

We had some great success this week as we finished with 2 baptisms. We
are super thrilled! Its like seeing your baby grow up. 2 girls 14 and
15 years old. They say beside each other in church yesterday. And when
they stood up to be supported as members of the church they were
smiling wide and holding hands! It was so cute. They didnt know each
other before, but are great friends now, along with all the other
young women! I wanted to send pictures, but my camera just died. :(

We came to church late yesterday as we hussled to try and bring this
super less active family to church.(a mom with 4kids)  And I spoke in
church... Que verguenza... but ya, they came. (for sacrament)
Hopefully they will come each week. They havent attended in over a
year!

Also in church yesterday, 3 men came up to me from Cardston asking
whereI was from, like all the Americans do... cause like each week
there are at leat 15-20 people who are here for vacations. Anywho,
they know Grandpa Tagg and Bill Peavoy. Small world.

Someone asked me if I was from Armania the other day, that was new.
Most people think I am from Utah or California... No. Lol

We visited Hna Karina this week another less active. She expressed to
us how she doesnt come to church because she doesnt feel like no one
cares... no one but the missionaries visit her. She knows many
members, but the ward lacks to do their visiting teaching. So sad,
this is the case with many off our less actives.Just shows how
important our job as members is to maintain our active members active,
and bring the less active members active, through visiting teaching
and home teaching.. and not just once a month. We still need to be in
contact with them throught the month.

Okay my comp is ready to leave, merr. Again, so little time!

Casi Noviembre!.. Despues, casi la Navidad

Well thanks for all guessing. You all got 0% Haha. I am here in
 Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta!!

Who would have know that I would be here. Honestly a couple weeks ago
I was dreaming about being in Vallarta, but thought it was more just
because I was here just 7 months ago on the beach. A little different.
Unconsciously I knew that I was going to come here I guess. :s

So you will never guess. We have 2 baptisms this week. The one girl
has being coming to church for 6 week without being taught by
missionaries. So we have a baptism tomorrow for her (Adriana-15). And
we will have taught her in 1 week. (said no one ever!) Here we are
 make history!

My new comp, Hna Vergara told me when I arrived that we needed new
investigators since almost none of the ones she had were progressing
and they had to drop them. So we found a good 9 this week that should
be pretty good I think. Here is to hope and faith. I hate to say
things before anything actually happens, but I honestly think the
majority of the 9 will be baptized.. in the Lords time.

My comp is teaching me lots about the Doctrine of the gospel. As we
teach each day, my mind is becoming illuminated and expanded. I love
it! I really needed this change. I felt like I had hit a road bump in
Sayula as far as my progression goes. Sad to leave Hna Castillo, but
 learning new things.

I told my comp I wanted to cumplir with the goals of the mission, like
40 lessons a week, and baptisms each week. She told me that she did
too, but also wanted to be realistic. So the goal for this past week
was only 24, but we had 33... only needed 7 more, like one more for
each day! Anyways, because of that we have a little bit more hope and
faith in this work. And honestly, soon we shoul have more baptisms :)
 HOPE AND FAITH!

Hna Vergara keeps telling me, "when you have 16 months in the mission,
you will understand.'' (Cause she is super tired all the time, and has
little energy) I just hope I don’t understand what she says and hope to
be able to go full throttle each day! Perhaps I speak too soon?

Well super thrilled to hear all is going well back home! Hope no one
freezes too much from frost bite.. I’m suffering a little, like
dripping sweat off my nose and all. Gross. Yah I never thought I would
bring a face towel with me during the day. Haha I always made fun of
Hna Castillo for that. But now I understand. Super humid.

News: This week I will finish 6 months in the mission... which means
only one year left... wow! AHH Cant decide is I’m thinking ahh, so
little time, or ahh, so much time! Well it is almost November, so I’m
going to go with ahh, so fast, and so little time! :S

New-2: I pretty much understand everything people say to me!! The move
here to Vallarta helped me to realize how much I actually understand
in Spanish. That is always good :)

News-3: THE LORDS WORK IS HASTENING... let us all be a part of
bringing a friend unto the UNDERSTANDING of the gospel, not just
simply gaining a knowledge of what we believe. Understanding will
 cause for conversions!

 Gosh I love this,

Pre Transfer Pics

I cant help but take pictures when I'm with Hna Afu.. okay I admit, she
is my favorite, always will be! I didn't have jammies, so she let me
borrow what she uses.. we were in Guzmand for the night, unbenounced
to us.. like the week before General Conference

Picture with my comp the day we heard about the transfers..
pic with a member, also last day in Sayula.

Pic with whatever mom sent me.. I used it to lighten the sad moods we
were in from hearing about the changes..

First Transfer

Okay...the past couple of weeks..

I held a 2 day old bunny, and it kind of jumped out of my arms and
almost died.. but the members said it was okay, and laughed at me for
feeling bad.LOL They are my favorite family. I ate with this family
last night, as my last night in Sayula.

Yup I got ttransfered.. 3 transfers with my trainer, and now Im in a
new area... GUESSES??? I will tell you all where next week :)

Yesterday I saw 2 baby kittens in a can, only had hours living! Looked
like rats to be honest. So sad that they were abandoned. But they were
taken in by a less active family that we were teaching.

My new comp se llama Hna Vergara.. I think. She only has 2 transfers
left here in the missions.Yesterday I was taught how to count the 10
commandments on my fingers in our lesson. She is great. Today she
explained to me many of the challenges of our ward. Hopefully with my
determination to see changed, we will see the ward (yes I am part of a
ward now) change and become more united.

I started writing the miracles of each day on a post-it note and
puting it in my journal. Helps me to recognize them, and to give
thanks specifically for what the Lord has done for me in each day...
NEW CHALLENGE...Do what I just mentioned each day in your journal, and
in your report to the Lord each night, give thanks for these things.

So sorry, but my mind is blank right now! Just thinking that I dont
have time to write.

Promise next week I will have something more interesting for yall :)
