Me quedo en Vallarta!‏

Hello!!

Well this last week that Hna Rodriguez and I have been here in
Vallarta has been fantastic in finding new investigators. I swear we
may have made history :) ha

Juaquin!! He is our investigator of Gold!!! It was so funny because we
visited him on Monday and asked how things were going with his wife
Alma... he had mentioned that it was going better, but still lacked a
good communication with her and such. We gave him a few suggestions to
some things he could do himself to make a big change... like smiling
when she returns home from work in the night. Which leads me to
Tuesday.

We saw Juaquin Tuesday, again asked how things had been going (yes
since yesterday). He told when his wife arrived home on Monday night,
he opened the door with a smile on his face (as we had suggested)
Alma´s response: Why are you smiling?
Juaquin: I’m happy to see you
Alma: since when do you do that?

HAHAAHA I love it!! We laughed, something so simple she was able to
indicate, so simple as a smile. :)

Well we have an official date for Juaquin.. April 9th!! We were going
to do it on the 11th, but since his wife doesn’t work on Thursdays, we
changed it. I just pray that she will support him in his decision to
be baptized, and recognized the changes that he has made, and know
that they will be permanent.

Well about transfers.. Everyone even the members said that my time was
up, since I have 6 months in Vallarta. However time doesn’t mean
anything! My baby has done to Santiago! And I will be receiving a new
Hna Rodriguez. Her and I will be sister training leaders over our
zone, so we will be working with all the sister companionships here,
which is a whole new responsibility in itself!

Well that is all I have for now! Hope everyone is still super stoked
for Conference this weekend!
´´If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find
an excuse´´. Hope we can all find the way to listen to the Lords
chosen leaders!

What a week!

I just can’t get enough of the mission!! We had a great zone conference

this week here in Vallarta. We got to see the new movie ´´have you

heard about the mormons´´ or something like that. It is amazing how

the restored gospel play such a factor in the lives of so many around

the world. Doesn’t matter what trial we face, the quality of our lives

can be made better by living the Lords gospel.

Each day I am blessed with the opportunity to share the joy that I

have been able to have with those around me. I have been able to see

the lives of those we visit change too! (Mosiah 28:3) I just love my

 job haha

Our less active members are progressing lots, this next week is all

goes as planned, we will have 2 less active families be made active

 again!! YAY!

Juaquin is doing so great!! He has been able to recognize that if he

doesn’t make changes in himself, neither will his wife. His wife Alma

told him that if what he is learning really changes him, she will

follow. YAY! Eternal family! We set a few goals with his this week to

help him have more patience. We also suggested reading the bible with

is wife, to have more unity. I just want everything for them! His

daughter Sofia, didn’t come to church this week for the influence of

her grandma and mom who really want her to be baptized in the catholic

 church.

Well I have been just ever so tired these last 3 weeks, and slept for

2 hours this afters, so I am once again left with little time to

write. But you’re all in my prayers.

Feliz Lunes

So Yalixa almost finished 1 Nephi, she was in 1 Nephi 22:9 when we
passed by her house, and was sitting down reading and marking her
scriptures to finish. We have mercy on her since she came to church
for the first time last week, and was showing that she wanted it, and
said the BOM was interesting, so we celebrated with the brownies we
made. She also came to church yesterday!!!! Along with her inactive
mom! AHH and her siblings of 3, 5, 8, and 10 year of age! MIRACLE
Almost all the family came! (minus the dad who is another struggle and
 another special story=))

Okay but honestly, this week GOLD!! My favorite is working with the
less actives! It will be my life long job! Yesterday we had 14 less
actives come to church in total. MIRACLE!! It was like one entered...5
minutes later, another, and just like that! It was the oddest thing
every! People we had never attended in like 3 months, or in over a
 year came!!

Juaquin and Sofia are just doing dandy, progressing like there is no
tomorrow!! Only we worry about what his wife Alma.. she has the final
say, and she doesn’t have an interest in us, in fact we don’t schedule
appointments the days that she is home to avoid contention :( super triste

I received a letter from Ignacio (my first convert in Sayula) :))) He
has already gone to the temple 2x!!! And he received his Patriarchal
blessing, and cant wait to go on a mission!!! (still has to wait until
September) But if you remember we were teaching his brother, but had
to stop teaching him for 6 months because he was involved in certain things
... but it has already been 6 months since he gave it all
up, and he is getting baptized at the end of the month!! YAY!! And his
mom, we started to teach and she wasn’t super interested at the beginning
but now is leaning towards the possibility!

Love it, love it, it I love!
The missionary work is incredible, it has a domino effect, imagine is
all were more anxiously involved, it would be so much more quick! :)

 Quote of the week:

"Actually, love is the very essence of the gospel and Jesus Christ is
our Exemplar. His life was a legacy of love" - Pers. Thomas S Monson

Thank you for all the prayers and love sent each day!

 con mucho amor,

Ya es Marzo!!

¡Buen día!

I think I am the most lucky missionary! I have recieved only the most
uplifiting and encouraging emails, just wanted to make sure that
everyone who wrote me in this week knows how much I appreciate all the
love! And espcially from my wonderful mom and dad!

So this week was wonderful! Juaquin and Sofia came to church today,
and even thought Juaquin had to leave after sacrament meeting, Sofia
stayed with us,  we were going to walk home with her, but she has a
new friend and her and her family offered to drive here home :) They
are getting excited about their baptism for the 28th of March (if all
goes as planned..faith and prayers!)

We have been seeing this one inactive family for about 3 months or so
now, and finally the olders kid.. Yalixa (12) came to church yesterday
Her parents are having lots of problems as a matrimony, but Im so
gratefull that Yalixa is trusting in the Lord, and putting forth an
effort to have a greater relatioship with her father in heaven! Also
she is planning to have 1Nephi finished for this Saturday (might have
helped that I made a deal with her that I would make brownies for her
if she did ha)

A poco a poco. I dont even know, but I just feel really good right
now. Ive been reading the general conference talks these last couple
of weeks from October, and I just love reading all the stories, and
studying what our prophets have counselled us to do to be better
disciples of Christ. At this moment, I feel truely honored to have the
opportunity to be serving my Shepard and to be gathering his sheep.

The Lord lives, and has a plan for everyone one of us, and that as we
seek to do his will, and not our own, he is right there next to us as
our biggest cheer leader :) (for lack of better words)

Hope to continues hearing from everyone next week and that you week
goes fantasic, and is filled with lots of joy :) Merry Marzo!
