First, I'm sure my Spanish didn't make sense in my title but I'm not too
worried about that.
Oh this weeks was good! Here in the mission, our President wants us to
have 40 lessons a week, and the norm seems to be closer to 20-25. This
week we fell short by 4! But I'm pretty determined to have 40 this
week somehow!
I spoke in church yesterday. I was given the topic of the obra
missional.. how typical as a missionary. Im not a fan of writing out a
talk because I want to speak by the Spirit, but then I wrote it out
the morning of, but mostly didn't follow it.. because I know Spanish
eh! But actually it went really well. We had a lesson last night and
the member who accompanied us shared something from my talk, and I
don't remember what, but it made me feel good that I had impacted her
feelings on missionary work through my talk aka the spirit.
Also our zone leaders told us that we were good examples to our district.. yay!
Also, also also, I was told by a few people that I speak beautifully.
That's a booster! One of the times it was followed by, you have
beautiful eyes. (The man was borracho) That is another story in itself
though...
This week I was reading in chapter 5 of PMG where it talks about the
Book of Mormon and how it is the keystone of our religion, and Pres.
Ezra Taft Benson mentions that it is in a least 3 ways...1 testifies
of Christ, 2 contain the fulness of the Gospel, and 3 if the
foundation of testimony. Something that we teach but hadn't put much
thought into these 3 things. Honestly we should never go a day without
reading something in the BOM!
Okay, Hna Afu! Yes I was super blessed to work wtih my MTC comp! It
was a good time, we pretty much talked in Spanish the whole time,
except when she had to tell me a story what was hard to explain. But we
had some good talks. In our studies in the morning she seemed to talk
in everything I said like it was gold! Goodness I love her. Her
Spanish has improved so much too! And boy does she ever look slim!
Haha
My skirt is almost finished I've been slacking off on my sewing at
night because I'm too exhausted, but none the less literally just have
the hemn to finish and will be done for our zone conference this week!
One more thing; I was reading this week in the Liahona, and I can't
remember where it was, tal vez in Pres. Pakers talk.. Sometimes
answers to prayer are not recognized because we are too intent on
wanting confirmation of our own desires.
Still learning lots each day, and I love learning!
Anyways,
con mucho amor,
Hna Tagg
