Another great week gone by! And not sure what else to say again! And I
am almost out of time! STRESS!!

Well Domingo is doing better. We had a hermano come with us to a
lesson with him last week, so he was able to receive a blessing! It
was so special. After we wanted into his little store to buy a couple
treats for someone's birthday, and he wouldn't let us pay, he said he
was without words. WOW! It was so great! Hopefully this will be a new
start, before the new start of a baptism! Hopefully!

Well we had interviews with the President this week. All went well!

Sometimes I feel like my studies aren't as efficient as I would like
them to be... So I'm using this Book of Mormon study guide that I found
in our house so I can understand the scriptures a little better. My
studies are suppose to be in English, but there aren't any other books
in English, so I make due with is in Spanish, it's only to explain a
few verses more clearly or quote an apostle kind of thing.

Ignacio is almost done the BOM! Like less than 2 months he will
finish! WOW He is so great, and this past week has come with us to our
apts, and totally wants to serve a mission! I hope he leaves while I
am still serving, he can go in 11 months!! He wasnt sure if he wanted
to go before, but after coming with us, deffs going to go! Yay!

 This weekend is General Conference!
Challenge: Prepare questions for the conference! The Lord will always
answer, we just have to listen attentively.... and to all the
sessions.. not just one, two or three of them! TODO!

Saturday night we stayed the night in Guzman since we had stake
conference the next morning, and the womans session the night
before... which means we were with Hna Afu again! Lol, good times!

Hna Castillo and I are working hard to find hard people to teach lol,
not in the way you are thinking though, simply we know that the people
that are the toughest to teach will end up being more faithful members
 after baptism!

 Well off till next week!

One week until only 13 more months!

HOLA!!!

Okay, honestly, I always get to the point of finally writing this
letter each week and I forget everything that happened!!

Well it happened. Tuesday Hna Castillo and I "broke up" with our
investigator. The reason we cant teach his is because he was selling
drugs. He has so be out of the market for at least 6 months before we
can teach him again. He is really awesome though. We taught the first
3 lessons, then gave him the pamphlet of the Word of Wisdom for the
next visit. (It was obvious that he smoked) The next week that we saw
him he had already quit selling, and consuming drugs, and had cut down
a tremendously on the smoking!! That was when he told us he was in
   that kind of market.

We taught him the word of wisdom that day, and then realized we
couldnt teach him anymore. The day before we had to drop him, he told
us he hadn't smoked the whole day, and the day we dropped him, he had
only one cigarette. We explained that he was still invited to church
each week, and encouraged to come. We also challenged him to finish
the BOM in the span of 6 months that we cant teach him, and that he
should still prepare to be baptized

Jose (26) came to church yesterday.. helped us not to feel quite as
bad for dropping him, and he understands why we cant teach him.
However after our lesson with him, I balled my eyes out! And I guess I
was a little bit sensitive that day. Lol

After teaching an investigator on and off for the part 2.5 months, she
finally came to church yesterday. Her name is Reina (50??)(Queen in
English) She is a little bit slow to learn, but its all good. At least
   she is willing.

We could have a baptism this weekend, but we are going to change the
date with him. His name is Fernando (17). He is well gay. And well, we
need to verify that he is still not dating anyone, well another guy.
And we still need to teach him all the lessons. He doesnt know how to
read or write. He was taken out of school as a child. So we are trying
to teach him the alphabet right now. Also he hasnt come to church the
   past 2 weeks.

We dont know what to do with Domingo (33). We have been teaching him
before I even came along, like since May!! He gave up drinking for a
full month!! It was so great. We went to look for him last Wednesday.
His sister older sister told us that he wasnt home.. then his 4 year
old son told us that he was sleeping.... she lied. Anyways, we looked
for him the next day, and she told us he was sick. We pretty much
   figured he had drunk.

The next day (Friday) we finally found him. We talked with him.. he
had drinken the past 3 days. He felt really bad. We review his goals,
like reading praying, and coming to church each week (which is what he
wasnt doing) Anyways I cried in the lesson as I bore my testimony to
him. We offered him to have a priesthood blessing for when he came to
church on sunday... but he didnt show up.

These are the main important things, and ways to recieve revelation.
If an investigator hasnt recived an answer whether or not to be
baptized, it is because they lack to do at least one of the 3.

   O orar (pray)
   L leer (read scriptures)
   A asistir (attend church)

Okay. I always seem to find something to right. Just want to say
Friday we had divisiones, and I saw Hna Afu... and what I want to say
is that she has lost so much weight!! She looks so great! Awe I miss
   her!

   Alright,
   con mucho amor!

Pictures!

So last Sunday, Hna Castillo told me that we are going to have fun
this transfer. She said she needs to recuperate her fun side again. I
guess her trainer was really strict with her. Ever since then (this
past week) the mission has been way more fun and easy going.
(Emotionally) Physically is another story.

Saturday was so hard. Im pretty sure we walked in circles around
Sayula all day. All of our 10 appts had fallen through with the
exeption to 1! Goodness it was physically draining with the sun!
Especially since it was the end of the week.

So Ignacio, who was baptized just over a week ago, is so great! He
wants his whole family to hear the gospel.. but they don´t really want
to from what we know. But his brother is listening to us right now,
and has excepted a baptismal date!! It was the most spiritual
experience I had had in my mission. He has alot of problems. He has 2
kids, but they dont live with him, they live with his mom. He says
they are his best friends. He questions about this life, like most
people in the world.. Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where
are we going? We taught him the Plan of Salvation our next visit.

Last week we had our zone conference and put our hand prints on some
sort of fabric flag to reunite us as a zone. My comp had to teach
about Diligence, and I was asked to share a short testimony on
diligence and faith for about 5 minutes. Honestly so rewarding to bare
your testimony!
Challenge: Bare your testimony everyday in some way or another. It is
as simple as saying ¨I know.....¨

Tomorrow we have our district class in Teacuatlan or something along
the lines of that.. We are going to try fresh leche from a vaca...
Yah that isn´t going to happen. I wake up sick each morning with less
than reasonable stomach pains as it is.

Last week, on Pday, we made Pan integral with Joaquin. He is so funny!
Like just to think about him I shake my head and start laughing! The
next day we tried the Pan, and we thought it tasted good, but he said
it tasted bien feo! Haha, I guess that is what you think when you own
a Panaderia!

We were supposed to make desserts with the Relief Society President
today, but she had to work. (Making tomales) So possibly next week.

One of the biggest trial we have here with the missionary work is that
the members are participating in the missionary discussions with us,
simply the matrimonal missionaries come with us. We have to have a
member is all our lessons with invetigators. Or when we have members,
they are less active, so to ask them to bare there testimony on how
keeping the sabbath day has blessed their lives, is less than ideal..
Yah I asked that once.. my bad. Ha

Not sure what else to say right now. I want another baptism!!!

Out of time.. :(
con mucho amor,
Hna Tagg

FIN!

Okay I have finished my training.. thank goodness. From what I have
heard, that is the hardest part. So grateful to be done that. There
were transfers today, but Hna Castillo and I are still working
together here in Sayula! Hna Afu is still with her comp in cd. Guzman.
A change was made with someone from our generation in the MTC. Her
name is Hna Strong. Anyways she is in our zone now. So that will be
nice.

This week we had our conference with Elder Pieper from the 1st quorum
of the 70! It was really great! I said the opening prayer which was a
great opportunity. I learned that as missionaries we sometimes fail to
teach the Doctrine of the Principles. We can teach the principles like
we dont drink or smoke... but we dont say why. Then we need to apply
it.
1. Doctrine
2. Principle
3. Application
I was also priveledged to have a one on one interview with Elder
Pieper. It was interesting. I knew that a selected few were going to
have interviews, and I felt like I was going to have one for some odd
reason. I was the first one that was announced to have an interview
with him. I dont know why, but I was grateful to express some of my
thoughts and emotions to him.

One of the things that I expressed to him is that I finally wrote down
in my study journal, during the conference, with my signature and date
that I would be serving my mission to the end, and I will be here to
do the Lords work always. I know it sounds so dumb and all thinking
that I am already here doing it. But I really needed to do this. My
pres had advised me to do so during my interview with him back in
July, but I couldnt get myself to do it. Also this Sunday I offered
that as my sacrafice to the Lord (as we should always offer up an
offering/sacrafice to the Lord each week- D&C 59) Since I did this I
am so much more happy knowing that I am just going to burn my ships
here in the mission and push forward till the end.. 14 more months :)

We had our first baptism on Saturday.. first for the both of us. Hna
Castillo has 9 months and hasnt seen her own investigator be baptized!
So it was really special for us. His name is Ignacio, and he is a
solid rock. We had lessons with him everyday last week, and from one
day to the next he would read about 10 chapters of the Book of Mormon!
Also he is 17! We are pretty proud of him! He was a reference from one
of the members, named Fernando. He invited him to church first. I
thought he was an investigator of the Elders in our Branch for the
first 2 weeks that he had come. Then one day he showed up at our
¨House of Prayer¨, and wanted to be taught.. just like that!! It was a
quick 3 weeks that we taught him! We bought him a white dress shrit
and tie. I love ties! So classy!

Cant wait to have another baptism! In 3 weeks we will have another one
of our investigators baptized.. hopefully! He didnt come to church on
Sunday. His name is Domingo.

I feel like we have been baby feeding out investigators, so when our
investigator tells us they only ready a part of a chapter in a couple
days time I am devistated! We are now committing them to reading more
before our next visit. (Well that happened once with Domingo.. he is
really slow moving.) We have changed his baptismal date at least 3
times since I have been here. The BOM is super powerful in conversion!
I mean hey, it contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
right?

Anyways somehow I am out of time!! Thank you for all the support! Love
you all!!!

Your fav missionary!! xoxoxoxo <3<3<3<3
