HOLA!!!
Okay, honestly, I always get to the point of finally writing this
letter each week and I forget everything that happened!!
Well it happened. Tuesday Hna Castillo and I "broke up" with our
investigator. The reason we cant teach his is because he was selling
drugs. He has so be out of the market for at least 6 months before we
can teach him again. He is really awesome though. We taught the first
3 lessons, then gave him the pamphlet of the Word of Wisdom for the
next visit. (It was obvious that he smoked) The next week that we saw
him he had already quit selling, and consuming drugs, and had cut down
a tremendously on the smoking!! That was when he told us he was in
that kind of market.
We taught him the word of wisdom that day, and then realized we
couldnt teach him anymore. The day before we had to drop him, he told
us he hadn't smoked the whole day, and the day we dropped him, he had
only one cigarette. We explained that he was still invited to church
each week, and encouraged to come. We also challenged him to finish
the BOM in the span of 6 months that we cant teach him, and that he
should still prepare to be baptized
Jose (26) came to church yesterday.. helped us not to feel quite as
bad for dropping him, and he understands why we cant teach him.
However after our lesson with him, I balled my eyes out! And I guess I
was a little bit sensitive that day. Lol
After teaching an investigator on and off for the part 2.5 months, she
finally came to church yesterday. Her name is Reina (50??)(Queen in
English) She is a little bit slow to learn, but its all good. At least
she is willing.
We could have a baptism this weekend, but we are going to change the
date with him. His name is Fernando (17). He is well gay. And well, we
need to verify that he is still not dating anyone, well another guy.
And we still need to teach him all the lessons. He doesnt know how to
read or write. He was taken out of school as a child. So we are trying
to teach him the alphabet right now. Also he hasnt come to church the
past 2 weeks.
We dont know what to do with Domingo (33). We have been teaching him
before I even came along, like since May!! He gave up drinking for a
full month!! It was so great. We went to look for him last Wednesday.
His sister older sister told us that he wasnt home.. then his 4 year
old son told us that he was sleeping.... she lied. Anyways, we looked
for him the next day, and she told us he was sick. We pretty much
figured he had drunk.
The next day (Friday) we finally found him. We talked with him.. he
had drinken the past 3 days. He felt really bad. We review his goals,
like reading praying, and coming to church each week (which is what he
wasnt doing) Anyways I cried in the lesson as I bore my testimony to
him. We offered him to have a priesthood blessing for when he came to
church on sunday... but he didnt show up.
These are the main important things, and ways to recieve revelation.
If an investigator hasnt recived an answer whether or not to be
baptized, it is because they lack to do at least one of the 3.
O orar (pray)
L leer (read scriptures)
A asistir (attend church)
Okay. I always seem to find something to right. Just want to say
Friday we had divisiones, and I saw Hna Afu... and what I want to say
is that she has lost so much weight!! She looks so great! Awe I miss
her!
Alright,
con mucho amor!
