me falta 9 hoy, y cumpliré 9 viernes :)

Wow, the time flies by so much faster when you are training someone,
like Hna Rodriguez, already has 3 weeks! And already has 1/4 of her
training done! She is so cute! She always wants to take pictures
too, and we often take videos.. of her speaking igish.. english, and
me trying to roll my R´s.. the hardest part of Spanish :)

Its funny because she totally tries my patience sometimes without even
trying. haha. I’m not training because I’m a great missionary, I’m
training because the Lord knows my weaknesses and is giving me the
opportunity to learn patience :) It is also something that I am
consciously trying to learn! Should help me for the rest of my life!

This week we made a big poster to help animar the members to give us
references, and accompany us with out appointments, and to share the
materials we have with their friends.. Its super cute.. I will be sure
to take a picture of it Sunday and sent a picture for next week. (we
left it at the church)

Things have been moving along slowly but surely.. Whoever said the
missions were easiest in Mexico were wrong, there are lots of
challenges here with the people, they are set in their ways, and aren’t
always accepting to make changes. They all believe in God, but they
don’t accept the message we share. Sad stuff, it also doesn’t help that
we now start church every week at 8am, so our investigators haven’t
been coming to church.. The test of faith.. church.

Don’t have much to say, except that I’ve been super tired this week, and
it isn’t as cool in the mornings anymore.

another week gone by

Well well. This week went really well. We were able to teach lots of
people. As things were a little bit slower these past couple of weeks
before, we took out our ward directory and looked for all the less
active memeber in our area. We still have a few more people to look
for, but that will cause for a few special trips since they live a
little further away. This opened the door to a few part member
families, who knows what the Lord has in store for these familes, but
we are going to work hard in bring these members back to the church
again, along with there families.

Our ward is getting more involved with the whole missionary work. They
are also looking for ways to help, like inviting less actives to
family home evening activities in their own homes.. We are also
planning on having family home evenings as a ward 2x a month so that
we can have members, and investigators together, and a better way to
befriend each other. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we should
have things going, the ward is a little slow with these things, but we
have excited missionaries in bringing this work forth :)

Hna Rodriguez is getting the hang of things a little better, and isn't
quite as emotional, not that she was all that emotional to begin with
(at least if you compare her to me)--que vergueza. It's all good. We
get along really well, she loves mexican food too! And she even says
that I cook well! Palomitas is where its at! (I make real food too,
not to worry).

Time is short today since we went to the mall. And didnt even buy
anything! But know that I love you all, and hope that you are all
finding ways to fill the agendas of the missionaries in your wards with
your nonmember friends :)

Its hot again.. BOLIS! YUM‏

Well, its oFISH!!

I MISS HNA VERGARA!!!
I so was not expecting to miss her so much! But thankfully I don’t even
have to think about  that!

This week was a little bit different as we have an hour more to study
as companions each day so I can train Hna Rodriguez from a little 12
week booklet. (There is always an extra hour during the training
period) So far so good. I was a little bit nervous being the one to
teach everything not only about how to be a missionary, but the area.
Practically this whole week I planned each day myself. But this next
week should be a little better since she knows the area and the people
a little better.

Well, its getter hotter here in Pto Vallarta again. Osh, not looking
forward to it! But it’s all good.

Kevin told us again that he didn’t want us to visit him anymore. Well
yah, we won’t be visiting him :( Hope for a baptism this month has just
about fallen through, unless he changes his mind and comes to church
the next 2 weeks.

Even though things are going a little slower with investigators right
now, we are seeing lots of miracles within our ward with the members.
Like as of last week we now hold a weekly ward council, we have a
relief society presidency.. only lack a ward mission leader (but a
counsellor in the bishopric is supporting us)

Scripture of the week, from my personal study:
2Nephi 9:29
¨To be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God¨
It isn’t enough to have a knowledge...but to have an understanding and
a love for the Lord that will change the way on how we live our lives.
How can this scripture apply to how you follow the teaching of our Saviour?

Well hope all my crazy thoughts make sense to everyone!
Almost half way there! :) AHHH

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Well I have 8 months into the pregnancy (mission), yesterday my water
broke, so I went to the hospital (temple or stake centre in
Guadalajara) where there were transfers of doctors (missionaries)
there I gave birth to my new daughter and named her Hna. Rodriguez. :)
(hope you all caught my drift) Anyways Hna Rodriquez is my new comp,
Hna Vergara finished her mission yesterday :((( And no I didn’t get
sick from her, thank goodness. However in Guadaljara it was so stinken
cold! I thought I would have to amputate my feet off from frost bite!
Yah is gets cold here! That or I forget what real cold is...

Well we don’t have a ton of time to write today since yesterday was
P-day. But thought I would drop a quick line to let you know that I’m
alive, and so far so good.

One of the goals I have made for this next transfer is to write a
little something in my agenda whether it be a quote of one of the
prophets, or something from PMG, or a scripture. I actually started a
little bit in my last transfer to get into the habit, one of the
things I wrote was:

´´The Savior was the Master Teacher. We would see most of His
ministry being teaching. And yet almost none of that teaching was
done in a church building. His teaching was out where the people were.
It was in highways and byways and hillsides and seashores and in
homes´´

What I can learn from this is that every moment is a teaching moment,
it doesn’t need to be words, but deeds. The best way to teach is by
example. And as members we set the example for all those who see and
watch us. People around us are always watching us, and again, as
members, we have the responsibility to be disciples of Christ at all
times, and walk the path that our Saviour walked.

Anyways, use every moment to have to share the Restored gospel with
those you come in contact with! And prays for the area of Ixtapa 3 in
Puerto Vallarta where I’m serving please!! :)

muchas gracias, y nos vemos el siguente semana,
Hna Tagg

And pictures for all!
